Carrier Launches Home Performance Program at ACI National Conference
Carrier Corporation, the largest air conditioning producer in the world, introduced their new home performance program, at the ACI National Home Performance Conference in Baltimore, for Carrier factory authorized dealers and their residential customers. This is a big vote of confidence for the home performance industry from a major U.S. manufacturer.
Quoting their dealer brochure: "It's time. The Home Performance Contracting industry is experiencing rapid growth, and has been for enough years to have established a solid trend. At Carrier, we believe you should not only get a piece of that category…you should own it...While other contractors struggle to own even ONE basic [home performance] fundamental, Carrier Energy Experts can confidently compete in all three."
The three HP fundamentals that Carrier certified "Energy Expert" dealers will service include HVAC, air filtration/distribution (ductwork), and building envelope. Dealers will have BPI-certified technicians on staff who will perform whole house energy audits of these systems and related improvements. If auditors discover any issues they aren’t able to correct Carrier will facilitate relationships with insulation and sealant contractors.
Carrier will also be supporting their dealers network with technical, sales, marketing and business training, along with consumer support and public relations. Check out myhomeenergyexperts.com for more information on this program.
The presence of HVAC concerns and stakeholders was clearly evident at the full day series of pre-conference workshops on HVAC Contractor Opportunities in Home Performance. Speakers such as Home Energy author Mike Rogers, Mike Callahan and Jerry Unruh lead panels on how HP is a Game Changer for HVAC. Stay tuned to Home Energy for more information on how leaders like these, and manufacturers like Carrier, are helping move HVAC into the HP industry.
