There’s just no way to fault people for liking the idea of a warm floor beneath their feet on a chilly winter day; radiant floor heating can be a pleasant thing. And for those who suffer in badly designed, poorly executed, leaky, underinsulated houses with aged forced-air systems that noisily blast out uncomfortably hot air for a seeming eternity before cycling off—and then leave everybody to get cold waiting for the furnace to kick on again—the even heat of a radiant floor system has a special appeal.
