Browsing through your Spring 2018 issue I spotted this example of a US furnace nameplate. (See “Static Pressure Testing 101, HE Spring, ’18, p. 22. See Figure 1.)

I couldn’t help but chuckle – what a mess! Btu, Horse Power, and Watts all on one nameplate.

HR? WC? Does this really mean inches of water column? CFM… altogether nicely mixed with SI units.

Can I ask you—does this not drive you crazy over there in the United States?
